Colic: CAM Therapies for Specific Conditions
- Homeopathy has always been considered particularly
helpful for children. It is reported to resolve, gently and effectively, such
problems as recurrent colic.
- A small body of published clinical
evidence now suggests that spinal manipulation might be helpful for infantile colic. In
a study cited in a 1994 issue of Consumer Reports, 316 babies with infant colic
were treated with spinal manipulation, and almost all got better within two
weeks. However, the study had several design flaws.
