Sprains:
Homeopathy, What Works
- During two well-designed German studies, a
homeopathic complex injury ointment, Traumeel, was compared with placebo
in treating sprained ankles. A statistically significant improvement in
joint motion was found in the homeopathically treated patients, as
compared with the placebo group, in each of the two studies.
- A study of Traumeel in the treatment of eighty
patients with hemarthrosis, joint swelling of the ankle, also reported
significant results, according to Dr. Jennifer Jacobs in 1997.
